Doug and Cathy Jory have published two wonderful books on the sport of Rodeo in the Northwest. The titles of their books are "From Pendleton to Calgary - An Oral History of Rodeo" and "The Badlands - An Oral History of Rodeo". Ben Jory, Doug's Grandfather, is featured in this second book from Doug and Cathy.

RODEO WEB SITES: There are many rodeo related web sites on the Internet. You can type in the word "rodeo" on any of the search engines and come up with a long list of rodeo sites. Gerald Roberts, All Around World Champion twice in his career, has a super web site well worth viewing. The sport of rodeo has grown a lot since its beginning. Organized rodeos go back to near the beginning of the 20th century. Records indcate that the first All Round Coboy was named in 1929.
