Donations Now Available
Dear friends and relatives. We now have a great way to obtain donations for the Jory Family and Friends Historic Cemetery Association. GoodSearch has been established to assist non profit schools and other non profit organizations such as ours to raise money. The GoodSearch tool bar can be used to search the Internet and the accompanying GoodShop site are now available on the Internet. Use of the GoodSearch tool bar to make Internet searches generates a small donation to our Association while using GoodShop, a part of the GoodSearch tool bar, generates a far higher donation for items purchased. I recently purchased a patio set from WalMart using GoodShop and that purchase generated a donation of over $8.00 for our Association! Please download the GoodSearch tool bar and start using it regularly to search the internet and to use GoodShop to purchase goods from or through such firms as ebay,Amazon,Target and many more stores. When you have downloaded and installed the GoodSearch tool bar, you simply type in the name jory (or Jory) in the space provided near the bottom of the tool bar page where it says who are you searching for and the name Jory Family and Friends Association Hubbard, OR will appear and you are ready to start generating a donation for the Association. There are a large number of stores listed under GoodShop which is the second entry on the drop down menue when you click on the blue GoodSearch tool bar. Please pass this information on to those who may be able to help with our goal of raising funds needed to purchase a head stone for a Jory couple buried in the Pioneer Cemetery in Salem and to restore and maintain the historic Jory Pioneer Cemetery near Salem, Oregon. There are no charges or other fees associated with using GoodSearch or Goodshop.
As many of you know, the cemetery was opened in 1854 when Elizabeth Fenn died after coming to Oregon in 1847 over the Oregon Trail. She was buried in the newly established Cemetery. Much work has been done over recent years but much more work is needed to be accomplished.
